validateCreate

ValidationResult validateCreate(AuditRecord record)
                         throws ServiceException

Validate that an audit record can be created. The following rules are enforced: * Author must not be null, or an invalid user * AffectedObject may not be null * Collection attributes (changedValues, AssociatedObjects) may not be null * Affected/Associated object instances may not be null, or have null attributes * ChangedValue instances may not be null, have a null or empty name, and both old and new values can't be null or empty

Parameters:

record - the record to be created

Returns:

an immutable Validation result.

Throws:

ServiceException
