This compatibility library is intended for use by plugins that need cluster-safe caching in JIRA 6.3 and higher but still need to work on pre-6.2 versions of JIRA. Nothing in here is actually JIRA-specific, so this may work for other products as well, but it will definitely not work correctly for clustered Confluence configurations that predate atlassian-cache 2.x so Confluence and cross-product plugins will need to use some other solution.
